The Scene: Colors of Passion

The welcoming lighting scheme plays an important role in lightening the mood of diners and enhances the beauty on the restaurant’s decorations, explains the owner, Mr. Wang. Mr. Wang focuses much on the restaurant’s lighting design to make its interior at once gorgeous and fabulous. “I truly believe that the fantastic lighting is the main attraction in Wang’s Place. Dining at night is the perfect time to appreciate the amazing scene” boasts the owner.

Recently this upscale restaurant has redecorated its interior, making the entire dining area more charming. After passing through a large glass gate, your eyes will be first drawn to a solemn Buddha—Sakyamuni, to be exact. The statue is both mysterious and intriguing, inviting the customers to explore further.

Mr. Wu is a passionate perfectionist. He has created an elegant, warm and inviting dining environment that will amaze you. The perfectly decorated ceiling seems like a work of art. It’s like a serene night sky silhouetted by light-emitting circle balls. Fourteen shining stars, representing the Pisces, are interspersed in the sky.  Customers are invited to enjoy the gourmet under the beautiful night sky.

Another attraction is the lounge bar which is really an innovating idea. A peaceful idyllic scene is embedded in the middle of the area and a spectacular indoor mountain with flowing creek with lush foliage helps set the scene.

“This is the best restaurant I have ever seen,” gushes one happy customer. “Wang’s Place brings us the fabulous enjoyment, it’s like we are in a palatial restaurant in Las Vegas,” chimes another. “It’s second to no one in Monrovia,” adds a third. You really should experience it for yourself.

Experience and Innovation Defines the Food

To match the elegant and upscale ambience, Mr. Wang serves the embodiment of Chinese culinary art. The dishes have been refined and Americanized to suit locals’ palates. Specifically, dishes from the proud Cantonese, Szechuan, and Mandarin traditions are served but a variety of cooking methods are used.

Whether you are a meat lover, vegetarian, or health-conscious diner, Wang’s Place has a variety of dishes that will satisfy your tastes. There are over 100 items on the menu, varying from Mandarin to Szechuan culinary delights. Each item is listed with beautiful pictures on the menu to enrich the customers’ experience. Some of the most highly recommended dishes include the Butterfly Shrimp, Chicken with Orange Flavor and General Tso’s Chicken. The Butterfly Shrimp is prepared with tomato juice and high-quality honey; the General Tso’s Chicken is cooked with the best chicken breast available. “We absolutely use the best and genuine materials in each dish. The distinctive taste is subject to our chefs’ veteran cooking skill and the mystery home-made sauce” explained Mr. Wang.

“If you are on a diet, Wang’s Place is an ideal choice.” Mr. Wang is very concerned with his customers’ health. “Our chefs who have over two decades cooking experience are all equipped with a strong sense of healthy cooking. Each dish is processed in a healthy way— little salt, little oil and no MSG. Therefore, freshness and nutrition are maintained.”

Years of Trust Build a Great Working Relationship

“Customers are never wrong,” explained Mr. Wang. If there is a problem or a dispute, the staff members will first make an apology and then seek to rectify the situation. With this customer-oriented philosophy in mind, Mr. Wang and his staff are all very considerate and careful in each service detail. “An amiable smile and a polite manner are very important to greet each visitor, and our staff members have done very well. Treated by our fabulous dining ambience, delectable dishes, and amiable smile, customers have no reason to forget us” adds the owner confidently.

“I am really grateful to my staff members who have dedicated themselves to serving Wang’s Place for years. Honestly, I should ascribe my success to the consistent efforts of my beloved staff members. Their contributions and hard work have helped me continue on this road.” It is not surprising that Mr. Wang has been in very good relationship with his staff members. By showing his gratitude, he has earned their trust.

Mr. Wang’s Strong, Simple Philosophies

Thirty years ago, Mr. Wang first stepped onto American soil with the goal of creating a brand new life.  First, Mr. Wang found a job at a local restaurant. As you can imagine, everything was tough for this newcomer, but the hardships did not stop Mr. Wang, a naturally strong and optimistic man. After six years of hard work and accumulating experience and wealth, Mr. Wang finally got a chance to open his first restaurant. He hoped everything would run on the right track from the start. However, fate would have a tougher path for him. The business was not very satisfactory initially. But Mr. Wang did not yield to the temporary difficulties. After deep analysis, Mr. Wang found the solution and made some changes to his restaurant. God helps those who help themselves. Now, Wang’s Place has been serving locals for 26 years and continues to make the grade over and over.

Mr. Wang lives by simple goals and philosophies. He believes that you should “Be grateful to those who help you, who stay you. Enjoy what you do. Learn to inspire the potential of your employees.” Now, his hard work has paid off. When his business gets more prosperous, he hopes to build an expansion to the restaurant. Maybe a brand new dining area, or a revamped dining area will greet returning customers when they return to Wang’s Place in six months or so.

Message from the Owner:

“Reputation and recognition are the life of a restaurant. Don’t worry what you have lost, buy keep your eyes on what you can get.”
