Ruth's Chris corporate relocates to Orlando

The corporate headquarters for Ruth's Chris Steak House Inc. in Metarie, La., was so badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina that key management members of the steakhouse chain have been forced to relocate temporarily to Orlando, effective Aug. 31. Ruth's Chris (NASDAQ: RUTH) officials say their home office support center was without power or communication capability, noting that essential support services will resume as quickly as possible. The company operates 88 locations worldwide, including two restaurants in Orlando and Winter Park, and seven more in Florida, including Jacksonville and several in the Tampa Bay area and in South Florida. http://orlando.bizjournal.com
