The first annual East Coast version of All Asia Food Expo took place October 26 & 27, 2004, at the Javits Center, and drew exhibitors from the Far East, Southeast Asia and Indian subcontinent and thousands of trade buyers. This year’s All Asia Food Expo will additionally feature industry seminars and culinary demonstration s with top Asian chefs. In addition to demand from Asian Americans, the general population has grown passionate about ethnic cuisine, according to Brian Randall, VP of Ethnic Foods at show producer Diversified Business Communications. “The healthier perception of Asian food, a desire for more exciting and spicier flavors, compatibility with vegetarian diets, wide variety of tastes, and exposure to Asian cuisines as a result of travel are some of the factors that have led to increased consumption of Asian food by mainstream U.S. populations.” Why Visit the All Asia Food Expo?
