U.S. federal authorities say Martha Stewart is allowed to dine at some New York City restaurants as part of the 48 hours a week she is allowed to work. "It's part of the 48 hours. If someone works eight to 10 hours, she has to eat," federal probation spokesman Chris Stanton told the New York Post. "She's allowed to eat while at work."
Since Stewart was released after serving a five-month federal prison sentence for lying about her personal stock sale of Imclone stock, she is now serving an additional five months in home confinement. A photographer for the Post snapped a picture of Stewart and three men eating at a Chinese dumpling spot March 16th in Manhattan. "I'm allowed to eat," Stewart said when questioned.
