When been asked the secret of attracting continually customers, Ms Leung’s sincere words impressed me a lot. “We give them lowest price but highest-quality, it’s difficult to do but we made it. I never expect to make a lot of money; I think pleasure is more important, I am very glad that I’ve made so many friends through business these years.”
Looking to the future, Ms. Leung has once again listened to her customers to offer a new service: In addition to Ms. Leung’s willingness to assist the process at every level of service, she has noticed that many customers are not adept at logo design. “We sometimes help to design logos and make embroidery for them; I think in the near future a special design department will be set up.”
Another plan is to expand her market beyond Chinese-owned operations to the entire array of Asian restaurants. She has been getting orders from Japanese restaurants for sushi-maker shirts, and “hopes to serve more and more Asian restaurants such as Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese and I believe it can be realized in the near future.”
The power of listening, supported by good service, has recently paid off: Ms. Leung has begun receiving 1,000-piece orders from large companies that manage cafeterias; she has merrily engaged in buying a small factory in the Fort Hamilton neighborhood and manages the staff to turn out her quality uniforms.
