Ming Tsai’s Cooking Show
About Ming Tsai
Ming Tsai, Chef/Owner of the world-renowned East/West bistro, Blue Ginger, Emmy award winning host of the Food Network’s East Meets West and Ming’s Quest, and author of two cookbooks, Blue Ginger and Simply Ming, presents his cooking show in All Asia Food Expo, October 9.
Raised in Dayton, Ohio where his parents ran a Chinese restaurant, Ming Tsai went to Yale to study mechanical engineering, but later decided that food was his real passion. That led to training in Paris and then in Japan before he came back to the United States to begin work in San Francisco.
Today, Ming Tsai also appears on a television cooking show Simply Ming. Simply Ming centers around a varied selection of master recipes- intensely flavored sauces, pestos, salsas, dressings, rubs, and more that can be made in advance and then used during the week to prepare tasty and exciting dishes quickly- often in 30 minutes or less.
In Ming’s opinion, “Cooking is all about sharing: sharing a warm home with friends, welcoming family around a special holiday table, or even warming up to a date with a delicious meal. For many of you, cooking (and eating) brings great pleasure.”
