Largest Food Show in the Southwest Offers Sneak Peek at Hottest Industry Trends

PHOENIX, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Shamrock Foods' 21st annual food and equipment show -- the largest in the Southwest spanning two days with 4,500 attendees and 300 vendors -- takes place this Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17 at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

This year's show, entitled "Fill Your Bowl with Savings," features samples of new products that will be popping up on the menus of restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities and more by early 2008.

"Some of the foodservice industry trends that are sure to stand out at the show are organic and ethnic foods, such as Shamrock Farms' new organic milk and sour cream and our San Pablo Brand's new flavored tortillas and sauces," said Mike Duran, the Arizona Foods Division Marketing Manager. "Plus, on the non-foods side of things, there will likely be a lot of interest in environmentally-friendly goods and practices."

In addition to food samples aplenty, the show features educational seminars to assist attendees in all aspects of their businesses, such as local store marketing tactics, web-based marketing tools, trans-fat free regulations, complying with new minimum wage laws, and more.

"This show offers customers an opportunity to explore key topics like rising labor costs, the effects of the Arizona Employer Sanctions Law, and going green with industry experts and peers," said Duran. "It's also a great way to build strong relationships and to conduct business that, without the benefit of a trade-show gathering under one roof, would take hours and days to accomplish on their own."

While the show is not open to the general public, media representatives are invited to discover what's new in the industry and to share those trends with consumers. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan 16th & 17th.
