NORWALK, Conn.-- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Pepperidge Farm is proud to introduce three new Whole Grain White bread varieties – Whole Grain White Very Thin, Whole Grain White Sandwich and Whole Grain White Light Style. With the addition of these varieties, Pepperidge Farm now offers eight Whole Grain White products including sandwich bread, hot dog and hamburger buns, and bagels – the broadest range of whole grain white products of any major bakery brand.
Moms can feel good about serving Pepperidge Farm Whole Grain White breads to their whole family because they offer a soft, smooth texture and great taste like traditional white bread with the added goodness of whole grains. With whole wheat as the first ingredient, each serving has 51% whole wheat flour when some other whole grain white products in the marketplace today have approximately 30% of the flour as whole wheat. Each serving also contains 11 to 14 grams of whole grains, 3 grams of fiber, zero grams trans fat and cholesterol free, and has no artificial color or flavors.
“Consumers love the taste of white bread, but are looking to healthier, more nutritious options for themselves and their families,” said Ruthann Walsh, Pepperidge Farm Business Director, Bakery. “We’re so pleased to be able to satisfy consumers’ demand for nutritious whole grains in our popular, premium quality Pepperidge Farm breads. And because our Whole Grain White varieties look and taste like white bread, it’s an easy way for moms to incorporate whole grains into their kids’ lunches without sacrificing taste.”
The new Pepperidge Farm Whole Grain White breads are available at major supermarkets, grocery stores and mass merchandisers nationwide. Whole Grain White Very Thin and Whole Grain White Light Style have a suggested retail price of $3.19 a loaf, while the Whole Grain White Sandwich has a suggested retail price of $2.79 a loaf.
