LOUISVILLE, Ky.-- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Long John Silver’s, the world’s most popular quick-service seafood chain, today introduced Freshside Grille, a new menu of dining options that can be worked into a balanced diet, featuring great-tasting, premium seafood entrees that are lower in calories and fat. Each Freshside Grille entrée boasts 10 or fewer fat grams and zero trans fats.
“Fish and shellfish are an important source of protein and long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to have health benefits for the heart, eyes, brain, immune system, and for pregnant and nursing women and their babies,” said Dr. Joyce Nettleton, a noted nutrition scientist, author and expert on seafood nutrition. “Long John Silver’s has taken an important step in offering low-fat, non-fried seafood choices with the new Freshside Grille menu.”
